St John the Baptist Caversham has been serving the local community of Lower Caversham for last 120 years. The church is seeking new ways to be relevant to local people, whilst respecting its tradition. A warm welcome awaits people of all ages to our fellowship. We have a reputation for strong congregational singing and an active Mothers' Union. Nestling along the banks of the River Thames are the three churches of this part of the Church of England which form the parish of Caversham Thameside and Mapledurham. St John the Baptist Caversham is one of them.
Each church offers worship to God in a distinct style; each church serves their community in the most appropriate way; and each church yearns to draw people ever closer to the God made known in the person of Jesus of Nazareth.We are united in our mission and supportive of the independence which each church enjoys.
